The series of single cask bottlings at cask strength honours former mayors of Rendsburg who have rendered outstanding services to the well-being of the town. In the case of the 1996 Caroni, the focus is on Richard Rühle v. Lilienstern, who was mayor of Rendsburg from 1885 to 1909. His driving force during the construction of the Kiel Canal led to the construction of two harbours and brought economic prosperity to Rendsburg.
